San Diego-based Eventful, a provider of an online site for finding local events, and music publication Billboard said Thursday that the two have launched two new charts based on Eventful data. Eventful--which has focused in on musicians and artists--will supply Billboard with two charts, the "Eventful Hottest Demand" and the "Eventful Weekly Most in Demand" -- based on the firm's Demand service. Demand is a service which allows Eventful users to request that specific musicians or groups perform in their cities. The idea behind the new charts is to give Billboard readers an idea of what the live music preferences of Eventful's users is in a given week. Financial details of the deal between the companies was not disclosed.
