Factual Renames, Relaunches Geopulse API
Los Angeles-based Factual has renamed its Geopulse API, its API for providing demographic data based on geolocation information, to Geopulse Context, as part of what it called a major relaunch of the program. The API lets users specify any location on earth and get information such as median household income, population density, education level, race and ethnicity, and more. Factual also said it has added additional information such as relative density of businesses near a location, type of business near a location, and more. Factual also said it had inked a partnership with Millenial Media on the product; Factual said Millenial Media is using Geopulse Context to improve the relevance and personalization of its mobile ad targeting for publishers and advertisers. Financial details of that relationship were not announced.
