Los Angeles-based Fastpoint Games, the online games development firm headed by Kelly Perdew, said today that it has launched a game developed from a partnership with Sony Online Entertainment. Fastpoint said it has taken Sony's massively multiplayer online game EverQuest II to the Facebook platform with a new title. Perdew said, in a letter to contacts, that Sony's MMO environment has been extended into a new title, Fortune League, which allows existing players of EverQuest II to engage with the MMO in addition to allowing new players to be exposed to EverQuest II. Fastpoint Games was known as Rotohog, until it recently broadened its focus beyond its roots in fantasy sports.
