FreedomPop Links With Telespree

Los Angeles-based FreedomPop, the venture-backed startup which is offering up both free broadband as well as free phone service, said today that it has selected Telespree Communications to provide real-time data services for its 3G/4G LTE smartphones and data devices. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Telespree is a provider of mobile services to carriers, including mobile marketing services, seesion monitoring, real-time charging, and more. The two said that FreedomPop is using Telespree's service to control access to VoIP and data on its newly launched FreedomPop Phone. The two companies said they plan to use the integration to offer up special promotions and offers, advertising, and more to FreedomPop's users.
