    Fuel Cell Technology Gets Goverment Injection


    The US Department of Energy announced yesterday an injection of $350M into the area of fuel cell research, in support of President Bush's Hydrogen Fuel Initiative. Local organizations included in research projects receiving funding include UCLA, Caltech, UC Santa Barbara, HRL Laboratories, Toyota, Southern California Edison, SAIC, the South Coast Air Quality Management District, and the Port of Los Angeles. The awards will be used to fund research and establish "Centers of Excellence" with a focus on hydrogen fuel technology.
