Honda Deploys Fuel Cell At Torrance HQ

Honda, which has its U.S. headquarters in Torrance, says it has deployed a hydrogen fuel cell at its corporate headquarters there. The company said the fuel cell will provide back up power to a data center at the American Honda Motor Co. location. The company said the fuel cell system reuses fuel cell units that were previously used in its Honda Clarity Fuel Cell vehicles. Typically, fuel cells are powered by natural gas, but can also burn "green hydrogen", hydrogen made from renewable sources. Honda did not indicate how it is supplying the fuel cells at its Torrance location.
