Fulcrum Signs Quadrics For HPC Switching
Calabasas-based Fulcrum Microsystems, a provider of high speed Ethernet switching products, said today that Quadrics, a provider of massively parallel computing interconnects, will use its Ethernet switch chip. Quadrics will use Fulcrum's FocalPoint FM2224 chip as the basis of a new family of 10-Gigabit Ethernet products. Quadrics' new product is targeted at the high performance computing (HPC) market, used to provide low-latency communications between clustered computers.
