Fulcrum Gets Win At Storage Manufacturer
Calabasas-based Fulcrum Microsystems, a developer of switch interconnect chips, has scored a win with storage hardware manufacturer Panasas, the firm said Wednesday. Fulcrum said that Panasas is using its FocalPoint 10GbE switch chips in its newest 10 Gigabit Ethernet clustered storage switching product. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. Fulcrum said its chips are being used to provide low latency interconnects for the Panasas storage cluster, which provides parallel storage for high-end storage networks. Fulcrum is a developer of 10 Gigabit ethernet switch/router chips.
