Stratagene Launches PCR System

La Jolla-based Stratagene announced that it has launched a new PCR System, the Mx3005P. The new device is targeted as a low cost, high performance real-time PCR system for existing reagents. PCR is used by genetics researchers to create large number of genes, in order to facilitate sequencing of genes. Stratagene also said the system supports FRET experiments, a way to study genes and proteins, using the system. Stratagene develops specizlied life science research and immunodiagnostic products.
