    Sanyo, Nokia Create Joint Venture In San Diego


    Sanyo and Nokia have announced that they are creating a new, joint venture in San Diego. The two firms said they are combining their CDMA mobile phone operations, with operations in San Diego, Osaka, and Tottori Japan. The two firms said that they expect the joint venture to achieve a leading position within the global CDMA mobile phones market. Sanyo said that the will transfer its development, production and sales operations related to CDMA2000 phones to the joint venture.
