Gemstar Releases Mobile TV Guide
Pasadena-based Gemstar-TV Guide has released a new mobile guide product for Palm and Windows Mobile devices. The company said that it has teamed with Handmark, a developer of mobile media, to develop the guide. TV Guide Mobile will proivde dynamic new television listings and content for Palm handhelds, Treo smartphones, Blackberry, and Windows Mobile PCs and smartphones on a subscription basis. The subscription costs $29.99 a year. The new product provides local TV listings from TV Guide, search of movie reviews, and custom delivery of news and information on their favorite shows, channels, or celebrities.
