GERS, Ecometry Merge

San Diego-based GERS Retail Systems, a provider of planning, merchandising, and supplier collaboration software, has merged with Florida-based Ecometry. Terms were not disclosed. The deal was funded by private equity firm Golden Gate Capital, and will create a combined firm under the name Escalate Retail. That firm will focus on combining Ecometry's customer interaction and loyalty software for GERS merchandise planning software. The firm's customers include Home Depot, Williams Sonoma, Nordstrom, and other retailers. GERS was represented by Santa Monica-based investment bank Montgomery & Co. in the deal.
