    j2 Opens FAX API

Los Angeles-based j2 Global Communications, a provider of online FAX and telecommunications services, is targeting developers with a new application programming interface. The firm said today that it has launched eFax Developer, an XML-based fax service that businesses can integrate into their systems. The service allows businesses to automate and streamline fax processes without the need for servers, software, and phone lines. The new service, targeted at businesses that send or receive large volumes of faxes, allows developers to connect via secure web page transactions with j2's eFax services.
