Irvine-based networking equipment manufacturer Linksys has released a new product today, for the home, powerline networking market. LInksys says it has shipped a new product, its Powerline HomePlug AV2 Kit, which helps consumers connect their computers into the Internet. The new product takes advantage of a home's network of power lines to provide high speed, Internet connections. Linksys is targeting homes which do not work well with wirelesss networks with the product, such as homes with concrete or steel walls, or where there are wireless dead spots. The product has a MSRP of $129.99.
