Motricity Acquires GoldPocket
Los Angeles-based GoldPocket Wireless, a provider of wireless marketing for the media and entertainment industry, has been acquired. Motricity, a provider of mobile content services, said today that it has acquired GoldPocket to extend its relationships in the media segment, to compliment its existing mobile operator and media customers, and to position the firm for the "off-deck" market. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Motricity and GoldPocket provide mobile campaigns for "The Apprentice", "CSI NY", "Big Brother, "Rock the Vote" and other television shows, which allow viewers to access content via their mobile phones and to interact and participate in shows.
