Los Angeles-based MySpace has tied into Seventeen Magazine, a magazine that targets teenagers, saying today that the two will co-promote a contest to encourage social activism. Seventeen and MySpace said that they have launched a competition that invites visitors to create their own public service announcements (PSAs) and share them through Seventeen magazine's profile on the popular MySpace social networking site. Users can upload a 15 or 30 second video, which will be featured on MySpace, Seventeen.com, and which will also feature the winner in the print edition of Seventeen magazine.
