    Neven Vision Makes Foray Into Consumer Applications


    Los Angeles-based Neven Vision has launched a new, visual search capability for camera phone users. The developer of embedded image recognition software has rolled out a vision recognition platform targeted at the consumer sector. The company said that it's i-Scout platform allows users to snap photos of products, advertisements, and logos which can be linked to content. The. company suggested this could be used to create interactive marketing campaigns and promotions. Neven's machine vision technology is used for facial analysis and recognition and the security market. Neven is backed by Anthem Ventures, NTEC, Third Wave Ventures, Zone Ventures, and Artisan Encipta.
