IMT Partners With MEMtronics
Santa Barbara-based Innovative Micro Technology said this week that it has partnered with MEMtronic for the second phase of a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) grant. The two companies will work together on a $3.69M project for developing robust, reliable RF MEMS Capacitive Switches. Blizzard Warcraft Hits Two Million Subscribers

BT, Citrix Team For Broadband Desktop Access
Santa Barbara-based Citrix Online has teamed up with London-based BT to provide BT's Business Broadband customers with remote access to their home or office PCs. BT will include the Citrix GoToMyPC service as part of the BT Remote Access Pack, a service designed to appeal to UK-based small business and residents. Linksys and Vonage Team On Trade-In Program
Irvine-based Linksys and broadband voice over IP phone service provider Vonage said yesterday that the two companies are now offering a trade-in program for customers looking to upgrade their wireless routers to support Vonage. The two companies said that customers can trade in any existing used router for a Linksys Wireless-G Router with 2 Phone Ports. The trade in program requires that users sign up for Vonage voice-over-IP phone service. Linksys is a division of Cisco Systems.

Napster, Ericsson Partner
Los Angeles-based online music service Napster said that it has entered into a global partnership with telecom equipment manufacturer Ericsson. Ericsson will include a fully integrated version of Napster's popular music service as part of the Ericsson personalized music service. The companies said that service will go live in Europe over the next 12 months. Intermix Reaches Agreement With Spitzer
Los Angeles-based Intermix Media said that it has reached an agreement in principle with the New York State Attorney General to resolve the pending lawsuit against the firm. Intermix will pay $7.5M over three years to the State of New York, to settle charges that the firm distributed adware and spyware. The company said that it had previously and voluntarily ceased to distribute the software.
