Streamload, D-Link Partner On Online Storage
San Diego-based Streamload, a provider of online storage services for digital media, said yesterday that D-Link has entered into a joint market partnership with the firm. D-Link will proivde 25 GB of free online storage to customers of its D-Link MediaLounge Player, a streamining media device. The two companies will proivde the storage on Streamload's service, and Streamload will promote its network hardware and media players to its online media center users. Language Weaver Adds European Language Translation
Los Angeles-based Language Weaver, a provider of software for translation of languages, has rolled out additional modules for its translation software. The firms aid that it now has Italian, German, and Russian language translation modules. Language Weaver provides machine-based, statistical translation technology that the company originally applied to hard to translate languages like Arabic, Chinese, and Persian. Conexant, Sharp Target WiFi Market
Newport Beach-based Conexant, and Sharp today announced a new, low power Wi-Fi Module that the firms are aiming at the embedded WLAN market. The two companies said that the new module is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.11b/g standard, and is targeted at cellular/WLAN handsets and other embedded mobile applications. Conexant contributed the integrated circuit technology, and Sharp developed the advanced micro packaging technology for the product.

Kyocera Teams On M2M CDMA Modems
San Diego-based Kyocera Wireless and Land Cellular have inked an agreement to provide modems for the CDMA market. The two companies have rolled out modems targeted at industrial applications. The two firms are targeting wireless applications such as information kiosks, ATM machines, oil/gas wellheads, disaster relief, intelligent traffic system signs, and other applications for the products. LeadPoint Hires Autobytel Exec For Marketing Position
Los Angeles-based LeadPoint has hired Michael Rosenberg, former Senior Vice President of Media and Marketing Services at Autobytel, to the position of Chief Marketing officer. Rosenberg will be responsible for securing lead seller as well as marketing functions for LeadPoint. Rosenberg has also served at America Online, where he was VP of Web Properties Strategy and Business Development. Irvine-based SpecificMEDIA is reporting that it has added a new, Vice President of Marketing to the firm. SpecificMEDIA has appointed Christine Schoultz to the position, where she will lead the company's marketing initiatives. iQstor Ships 4G Disk Enclosure
Newbury Park, California-based iQstor Networks has rolled out a new, storage product. The firm said yesterday that it new J2880 provide modular, 4Gb/s Fibre Channel (FC) JBOD in a disk expansion enclosure. The new storage module provides built in switching, instead of traditional Fibre Channel loops, which enable faster performance and reliability. The new storage device supports both FC and SATA II disk drives, and in-band management.
