Interview with Jon Kraft, Technology Council of Southern California
My interview this morning is with Jon Kraft, Chairman of the Technology Council of Southern California (www.tcosc.org), until recently called the Software Council of Southern California. Jon's also President of Auryn, a local startup in the animation/technology space, and was formerly CEO of Pandora Media (when it was Savage Beast). ValueClick Loses COO, Shuffles Staff
Westlake Village-based ValueClick said today that Jeffrey A. Pullen, the company's COO, has resigned. Pullen had been at the company since 2003 when ValueClick acquired Commission Junction, where he was CEO. ValueClick said that it has appointed Tom A. Vadnais as president of ValueClick, who will work with Jim Zarley, chairman and CEO of ValueClick to handle the responsibility of COO. Zag Adds Director
Santa Monica-based Zag has added the former president of Volvo Cars North America and BMW North America to its board of directors. Zag announced this morning that Victor Doolan, who was most recently president of Volvo Cars North America, has joined the company's board of directors. Doolan has also served at Ford Motor Company and BMW. Zag is a technology startup looking to change the way consumers buy cars. MTI Buys Collective Technologies
Irvine-based MTI Technology, a systems integrator and provider of storage, has acquired Austin, Texas-based Collective Technologies, an IT infrastructure provider. Terms were not disclosed. MTI said that the acquisition will be used to increase its resources for customer implementation. Both companies provide disaster recovery, backup, virtualization, data storage, and other services to enterprises. MTI Technology is an integrator and systems provider focused on mid to large size companies.

SKY Mobilemedia Extends Wireless Software
San Diego-based SKY MobileMedia has extended its software for the wireless industry, saying today that its SKY-MAP mobile applications software now supports IP Multimedia Subsystems, data synchronization, security features, and enhanced support for wireless audio and video streaming. The new features enabled features such as SIP-based video conferencing, multiplayer gaming, address book synchronization, and secure certificate support. Demandware Taps Webmetrics
San Diego-based Webmetrics has received another win for its website monitoring and testing services, saying yesterday that Demandware, a provider of merchandising and ecommerce software, will use its web performance monitoring service. Demandware provides an online, hosted e-commerce system for retailers. The Webmetrics web performance monitoring system will be used to ensure storefront responsiveness for Demandware customers.
