Squeegy Launches On-Demand Car Washes In LA
Tired of driving around a dusty, dirt encrusted car, but too darn busy to find a car wash? Los Angeles-based Squeegy has recently launched into the market, with an on-demand, car wash service--currently serving the west side. Ranker Creates New Video Division, Adds To Team
Los Angeles-based crowdsourced ranking site Ranker announced Friday that it has opened up a new video division, Ranker Video, as well as added a few key hires at the company. According to Ranker, it has named Inger Lund Carter--formerly Yahoo! Front Page Editorial Director--as its Vice President, Content and Programming, and named David Cohn--formerly of Askmen and Crave Online--as Executive Vice President, Sales. QLogic Swaps Out CEO
Aliso Viejo-based storage networking products maker QLogic is in a major, executive shakeup this morning, saying that its CEO, Prasad Rampalli, has resigned. According to QLogic, it has named Christine King as Executive Chairman, and Jean Hu as Acting CEO of the company. King has been a member of QLogic's board since 2013, and was previously CEO of Standard Microsystems Corporation and AMI Semiconductor. Hu has been SVP and CFO of QLogic since 2011. Pledgeling Gets Win At Swagbucks
Los Angeles-based Pledgeling, the charity donation startup led by James Citron, has scored a win with fellow Los Angeles startup Swagbucks. According to the two, Swagbucks is using Pledgeling to manage its employee giving, as part of a program where Swagbucks gives each of its employees $50 to donate to the charity of their choice. DealerSocket Buys Product Line From Dealertrack
San Clemente-based DealerSocket, which develops software for auto dealers, said Thursday that it has acquired the Inventory+ business of Dealertrack. the two said that DealerSocket will pay approximately $55M in cash for the business line. Inventory+ is used by car dealers to manage their automotive inventory. The deal also includes Dealertrack's eCarlist websites, as well as the team behind the business line.
