    Occam Enhances Broadband Solution


    Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks said today that it has added two new blades to the company's BLC 6000 Broadband Loop Carrier System. The BLC 6212 is a 48-port blade for delivering data and video services via ADSL technology, and the and BLC 6252 is a 48-port blade that combines ADSL and POTS (plain old telephone service) on the same blade. Both of the products are aimed at high speed data and video using ADSL2Plus technology. The company's 6252 device convert telephone signals to Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic. Occam's products are used by telecom providers to provide broadband services.
