Qualcomm Powers New Samsung Galaxy S8

San Diego-based Qualcomm is powering the newly announced Samsung Galaxy S8, Qualcomm said on Wednesday. Samsung is using Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform, according to Qualcomm, which features its Qualcomm TruSignal adaptive antenna tuning technology, an integrated Snapdragon X16 LTE modem, and which is roughly 35 percent smaller and which consumes 25 percent less power than the company's last generation of chips. Samsung has gone back and forth on using Qualcomm's chipsets for its different models.
