Quest Adds Active Directory Product
Irvine-based Quest Software said this morning that it has added a new product for Microsoft's Active Directory software. The company's new Quest Change Manager monitors and corrects changes in Microsoft Active Directory. The software tracks changes and corrects unwanted changes by logging all Active Directory changes, prevents changes to vital entries, and modifies configuration settings according to policy. Active Directory is used by companies to provide global log-in credentials across applications and operating systems, to store enterprise data such as phone books and employee rolls, and is a vital part of enterprise security in Microsoft-based enterprises. Quest said that the new software will be priced per-Active Directory user.
