Rocket Lab Launches Second Mission From Wallops

Long Beach-based Rocket Lab said late Thursday evening that it has successfully launched its second mission from its new East Coast launch site, at Wallops Island, Virginia. The company said the launch--its 34th overall--deployed two spacecraft into low Earth orbit for Capella Space. Rocket Lab had previously only been launching payloads into space from New Zealand. The new launch site is at NASA's Wallops Flight Facility. Rocket Lab specialized in launching cubesats and smaller satellites into space.
