Senate Ramps Up Offshore Outsourcing Debate

New legislation introduced in the Senate last week seeks to ban offshore outsourcing in federal and state work. The new bill, introduced by Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn) seeks to limit federal money made available to state governments for work which will be sent offshore. The bill is adding more fuel to the debate over whether offshore outsourcing is good or bad for the US economy; as well as its impact on workers here in the IT industry.
