    SMC Ships New Ethernet Switch


    Irvine-based SMC Networks said today that it has shipped a new enterprise switch. The SMC TigerStack III is a new, 24-port 10/100 stackable managed switch. The switch features the ability to be stacked up to eight units high and managed under a single IP address, and includes two uplink ports that can use either Gigabit or 100Mbps fiber. The company also said that the switch features advanced security and traffic control features such as Access Control List (ACL), RADIUS and SSH support, and Private VLAN support.
