SpaceX Scrubs Mission For Third Time

Hawthorne-based SpaceX scrubbed the launch of its latest mission for the third time on Sunday, after a boat wandered into the launch zone and the U.S. Air Force had to scramble a helicopter to get the boat to move; at the same time, a low thrust alarm sounded on its Falcon rocket. This is the third delay for the company's mission to launch the SES-9 into orbit. SpaceX had to also scrubbed two earlier attempts on the SES-9 mission last week. SpaceX had tried to launch the latest mission of the Falcon 9 on both Wednesday and Thursday. SpaceX has not announced when the next launch window for the mission will be. The mission is aimed at delivering a communications satellite for SES into orbit.
