ToutVirtual Adds IT Management Software

Carlsbad-based ToutVirtual has rolled out a product targeted at the server virtualization market, saying Wednesday that it has added VirtualIQ Pro, a new virtualization management suite. The new software manages VMware, Microsoft, XenSource, and Novell virtualization platforms, and is available as either stand-alone software or as a software appliance. The firm's software can be used to track performance of virtual machines, provide real-time and historical reporting, single console management of multiple virtualization environments, along with automation of deployment. ToutVirtual's product targets the growing server virtualization market, which uses "virtual" servers to make it easier for IT managers to create new machines, manage applications, on existing server hardware.
