    WebChoir Releases Metadata Tool

Los Angeles-based WebChoir, a firm that develops search and retrieval software, said this week that it has released a new vocabulary and metadata tool used for creating controlled vocabularies for database searches. WebChoir said that its new multilingual WebChoir Vocabulary Server tools can be used to organize relationships between search terms. WebChoir said that the tool can be used by manufacturers for organizing product line information; pharmaceutical companies to track alternate names and attributes; and in other applications. Vocabularies and metadata are used by search and retrieval software to provide more accurate results in searches.
