Eva Longoria Teams With Startup For LA-based Cookware Line
Actress and director Eva Longoria has launched a new cookware line, with the help of a San Francisco-based startup Heyday, the two said on Tuesday. According to the two, they have launched Risa, a "multi-funtional stove-to-table" cookware line. Heyday has raised over $800M in funding from The Raine Group, Premji Invest, Victory Park Capital, General Catalyst and Khosla Ventures. OncoSec Slashes Staff By Near Half
San Diego- and Pennington, New Jersey-based OncoSec Medical said on Tuesday that it is slashing its staff by nearly half, as part of a "pipeline prioritization" as the company looks to extend its cash runway. The publicly traded company--which trades on the NASDAQ as ONCS--said it is cutting its staff by approximately 45%, and will now focus on its activites in the area of melanoma, to meet near-term data milestones.

Heal's Founders Launch New Healthcare Startup, Renee, Backed By $8.2M
The founders of home healthcare company Heal, Dr. Renee Dua and Nick Desai, announced a new startup this morning--backed by $8.2M in funding--to help provide healthcare to an aging population. According to Dua and Desai, the new startup, Renee, provides services to help managing scheduling of doctor's appointments, booking rides to and from a doctor's office, providing reminders for appointments and routine prescriptions, and free delivery of most routine prescription medications. GoodRx Offers Free Telehealth For Florida Residents Hit By Hurricane Ian
Santa Monica-based telehealth provider GoodRx said today that it is offering up free, online healthcare provider visits to Florida residents impacted by Hurricane Ian. The company said that, through October 17th, Florida residents can be seen by a licensed medical provider on GoodRx, by visiting a special site and using the code FL-CARE-100. PodcastOne Adds NBA, NFL Podcasters
Los Angeles-based PodcastOne, which is now owned by LiveOne, says it has added several new podcasts from sports personalities, including Nick Swisher, Bobby Portis and Chris Howard, as part of an expansion of its sports podcast roster. The company already has a number of sports podcasts. Swisher is a baseball player; Portis is from the NBA, with the Milwaukee Bucks; and Howard is a former NFL player with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

RentSpree Partners With Electronic Lock Box Provider
Los Angeles-based rental management software developer RentSpree said this morning that it has partnered with SentriLock, a provider of electronic lockboxes. Financial details of the partnership deal were not announced. SentriLock provides electronic lockboxes for the real estate industry where keys for a home are left in a secure location for showing for real estate agents to access when needed.

Rockley Photonics Gets $10M In PIPE
Pasadena-based Rockley Photonics Holdings Limited, a publicly listed health monitoring and communications developer, says it has raised $10M in financing, in the form of Convertible Senior Secure Notes due 2026. The company said it is developing a range of "photonic integrated circuits" specifically designed for mobile health monitoring and machine vision. The company also has operations in Oxford, England. Rockley is listed on the NYSE as RKLY.
