9am.health Gets $16M For Virtual Diabetes Care

San Diego-based 9am.health, which provides personalized treatment plans and other virtual care services for those with diabetes, has raised $16M in its Series A round, the company said today. The round was co-led by 7Wire Ventures and Human Capital and included new investors StartUp Health and Leaps by Bayer, plus existing investors Define Ventures and Founders Fund. The company says it has now raised $20M in total. 9am.health offers up medical care, lab diagnostics, medications, and personalized treatment plans to diabetes patients via subscription. The company was founded by Frank Westermann, Anton Kittelberger, Paul Geevarghese, and Bernhard Schandl.
