Compellon Raises $6.7M

Rancho Santa Margarita-based Compellon, a developer of data analytics software, has raised $6.7M in a Series A funding. The funding was led by Kairos Ventures, which invested $3M in the first tranche of the Series A funding. Compellon said Kairos Ventures has committed an overall $5M in investments in the company. Compellon, which is led by Ken Charhut, said the funding will go towards growing engineering and sales. James Demetriades of Kairos (former founder of SeeBeyond) joins the company's board with the funding, as does Carv Moore (SeeBeyond, Novell, Cambridge Technology Partners). More information »
