ACADIA Pharmaceuticals Names Two VPs

San Diego-based biopharmaceuticals developer ACADIA Pharmaceuticals says it has named two new executive to its team. According to the firm, it has named Robert Kaper, M.D. as Senior Vice President, Global Head of Medical Affairs, and Eliseo Salinas, M.D., M.Sc. as Senior Vice President, Chief Scientific Officer and Head of External Innovation. Kaper was most recently Senior Vice President of Medical and Scientific Affairs for AMAG Pharmaceuticals, and also sered at Cephalon and Organon. Salinas was Chief Medical Officer at New World Laboratories, and also served at Shire, Elan Pharmaceuticals, Wyeth, and other companies. ACADIA is developing treatments for central nervous system (CNS) disorders.
