Altra Starts Construction Of Ethanol Production Facility
Los Angeles-based Altra, a venture-backed startup in the energy space, said today that its subsidiary, Altra Indiana LLC, has begun development of an ethanol production facility in Indiana. The firm said the $170M project is part of its plan to build 500 million gallons per year of biofuel production capacity nationwide. Altra is backed by Angeleno Investors, Khosla Ventures, Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers, Omninet Capital, and Sage Venture Partners.
