Amgen Commits $30M For Virtual Science Education

Thousand Oaks-based The Amgen Foundation, the charitable arm of Amgen, said Monday that it has committed $30M to LabXChange, an online science education platform. According to Amgen, it is the founding and lead sponsor of the effort, which it is a collaboration with Harvard's Vice Provost of Advances in Learning. Amgen had previously donated $13M to the effort. Amgen said LabExchange allows educators and students discover, engage with and share "highly curated and personalized" online lab experiments, interactive lessons and videos.
