Appian Rolls Out AI Platform

San Diego-based Appian, a developer of business process automation tools, has jumped on the AI bandwagon, saying that it is rolling out a new product called AI Skill Designer, a product which allows its customers to use AI to "automate repetitive tasks, freeing up their workforce and eliminating the risk of human error in data classification and extraction." According to the company, the new AI capabilities provide "out-of-the-box" support for document classification, email classification and document extraction.
