Carlsbad-based BasePOint Analytics, a provider of fraud scoring software and services, said yesterday that it is helping mortage lenders combat fraud. Basepoint said that its FraudMark product uses neural network technology to find fraud using behavior history for applicants, brokers, appraisers, loan officers and other entities. The company said that its software helps banks identify which applications have the greatest risk of fraud.
