Beckman Coulter Diagnostics Buys AI Developer StoCastic

Brea, California-based Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a developer of clinical diagnostics products, said today that it has acquired StoCastic, a developer of artificial intelligence software for evidence-based decision support for hospital emergency departments. Financial details of the buy were not announced. StoCastic was developed based on research from Johns Hopkins Medicine, and was backed by Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures.
