Irvine-based Broadcom reported MOnday afternoon that it has completed its acquisition of Percello Ltd., a developer of systems-on-a-chip for femtocells. The deal was worth $86M in cash. Broadcom had announced the acquisition of Percello on October 26th. Percello's femtocell semiconductors are used in small, low power cellular base stations for indoor cell phone coverage. Broadcom had said the acquisition will help it accelerate its time to market to deliver femtocell technology.
