CalAmp To Supply Fleet Tracking Products To Telefonica In Mexico

Irvine-based CalAmp says this morning that it has inked a deal with Telefonica, where it will provide its fleet management and stolen vehicle recovery products in Mexico. According to CalAmp, the deal will help telematics service providers and fleet management customers transition from 2G to 3G services in Mexico, with expansion expected later to other Latin American and European markets. Financial details of the deal were not annoucned. CalAmp said that Telefonica will provide "IoT in a Box" bundles using CalAmp's fleet and asset tracking devices, which will be connected to Telefonica's network and software. The offering will be aimed at fleet operators, vehicle financiers, automotive dealers, insurers and rental car companies.
