CareFusion Invests $100M In Israeli Company

San Diego-based medical device maker CareFusion said this morning that it has invested $100M in an Israeli medical device company, Caesarea Medical Electronics (CME). Caesarea makes infusion pump systems. CareFusion said the investment will give it a 40 percent, minority stake in the Israeli maker of infusion and syringe pumps. CareFusion said that, as part of the investment agreement, it has the right to make additional investments in Caesarea--including becoming the majority owner of CME.
