Computer Game Raises Hackles In Venezuela

A new computer game from Los Angeles-based Pandemic Studios is raising political hackles in Venezuela, for its depiction of the takeover of a South American nation. According to BBC News, the title, Mercenaries 2: World in Flames, has caused Venezuelan congressmen to claim that the computer game is preparation work for a real invasion. The computer games industry here has often pulled its titles and ideas from real life politics and topics. The game developer is also behind the titles Destroy All Humans 2, and Star Wars Battlefront.
