    DefenseWeb Receives Army Contract


    San Diego-based DefenseWeb said today that it has received a U.S. Army contract to develop a Virtual Family Readiness Group (vFRG) application for deployed troops and their families. The application will provides news, announcements, Army resources and tools for troops and their families. The tools include the ability to share and post photos, and communicate with troop members in deployment. DefenseWeb said the application will be expanded acrosss the entire U.S. Army, including both Active and Reserves. The company had inked an earlier contract with the Army for its South Korean troops.
