DivX Partners With Indian Content Provider

San Diego-based DivX said this week that it has partnered with a company in Delhi, India, to release films available on DivX format to the Indian market. Divx said earlier this week that UTV of India, a content provider with distribution rights to both Hollywood and Bollywood titles, would release films in encoded, DivX format. Titles included in the deal include "The Myth," "Swades," "Main Meri Patni Aur Woh," "Sin City," "Unleashed" and "Pulp Fiction." DivX licenses its own media compression/decompression algorithms.
