    DivX Signs Panasonic
    San Diego-based DivX has scored a win for its digital media format at Panasonic, saying today that Panasonic will incorporate its codec into two of the firm's DVD recorders. Panasonic Consumer Electronics will use the DivX video codec in its DMR-EH55S and DMR-EH75VS DVD recorders, allowing consumers to play back DivX encoded video. The win is the latest win for DivX, which is in the midst of an IPO to raise up to $118M.
