Santa Monica-based automotive information provider Edmunds.com said yesterday that it has released a new tool for auto dealers, aimed at helping them to collect and manage customer reviews and ratings. According to Edmunds.com, its new Review Accelerator tool can be embedded into a car dealer website, to gather ratings and reviews from customers. The tool allows dealerships to post those reviews on their own site and also on Edmunds.com's Dealer Ratings and Reviews page. Edmunds.com did not disclose the cost of the new tool, and also did not say how much control dealers have over what ratings and reviews are and are not posted.
