Emulex Promotes Benck to President

Costa Mesa-based storage area networking equipment maker Emulex said Thursday morning that it has named Jeff Benck as President and Chief Operations Officer. Emulex was most recently EVP and Chief Operating Officer. Benck has been at Emulex since 2008, and was previously President and COO at Emulex competitor QLogic. Benck also served at IBM. Emulex said Benck's promotion comes due to his successful execution on key original equipment manufacturer (OEM) design wins.
