    Entropic Gets Win At Motorola

San Diego-based Entropic has scored a win at Motorola, saying yesterday that its home media networking chips will be used as part of Motorola's QIP and DCT digital video set-top boxes. The firm said that Motorola will embed its chips to enable multi-room video and content sharing. Entropic is developing home media networking chips targeted at set-top boxes, modems, broadband gateways and routers, and DVRs and digital TVs. Entropic said that Verizon is currently deploying the Motorola QIP boxes as part of its FiOS TV service.
