San Diego-based Entropic Communications reported Thursday that the firm has named Keith Bechard to the firm's board of directors. Bechard is from the cable industry, and owns Pear Lake Consulting, which the company said has advised Canoe Ventures and PolyChiper, cable industry joint ventures owned by Comcast, Time Warner Cable, Cox Communications others. Bechard also served at AT&T Broadband, where he was Vice President of Video Product Engineering, and at MediaOne labs and US WEST. Entropic is a developer of semiconductors for the home entertainment networking market.
